How we handle your details

Who we are

This page is run by RYDE Realty, a real estate agency with offices at 111/121 William Berry Drive, Morayfield QLD 4506 and Kon-Tiki Business Centre, 55 Plaza Parade, Maroochydore QLD 4558. You can contact us on 0421 579 757 or nigel@ryderealty.com.au.

What we collect

When you send the property enquiry form we collect:

• your first and last name, mobile number and email address;
• the property address, suburb, postcode and approximate land size;
• what you are considering, and any note you add;
• how you reached the page: the advertising campaign and ad (for example the "angle" and UTM tags in the link you clicked), a Meta click identifier if the link carried one, the website that referred you, and the date and time.

To protect the form from abuse we also process your IP address to limit repeated submissions. We store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of it, not the address itself. (If you allow advertising measurement, your IP address and browser type are also passed to Meta when you send the form; see below.)

Why we collect it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, to talk with you about your property and your options, and to keep a record of the conversation. We use the campaign information to understand which of our advertisements are useful to homeowners. We do not sell your details or share them with anyone else for their own marketing.

Who sees it

Your enquiry is seen by the RYDE Realty team. To run this page we use these service providers:

• Netlify, which hosts this page and stores enquiries in its data storage;
• Web3Forms, which delivers the enquiry to our inbox by email;
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising measurement, as described below.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside Australia.

Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel)

This page uses the Meta Pixel to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform: for example, that someone who saw an ad visited the page or sent an enquiry. It uses cookies or similar technology in your browser. When you send an enquiry, we may also tell Meta that a lead occurred so it can match it to an ad. For that we send your email address, phone number, name, suburb and postcode in hashed (scrambled) form, as Meta requires, together with your IP address and browser type, which Meta uses for matching. We do not send Meta your property address or your message.

You can opt out at any time with "Tracking preferences" at the foot of the enquiry page. The Pixel may already have recorded your page visit when the page first loaded; after you opt out it stops, it does not run on later visits from the same browser, and no lead information is sent to Meta. You can also manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with you and to meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to see or correct the details we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you, by calling or emailing us using the details above. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
